UNICEF Urges International Action to Safeguard Displaced and Malnourished Children in Haiti

UNITED NATIONS, October 14 (IPS) — According to new data from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), displacement in Haiti has risen sharply, intensifying the country’s already dire security and humanitarian crises. Nearly 90 percent of the capital now remains under the control of armed gangs.
